Friday is a significant day for me. It is one of those days you stop and count how long since Day One? How has life been all these years? You pause and reflect on the great times, and the not-so-great times. It is a day when, when you’re young, you wonder why they don’t come faster. A day when, as you get older, you wonder why they have to come at all. It causes a person to take inventory of what life has meant…”I wonder if I…’s” and “I am glad that….’s”.
For many, another year shows not all that well. For others, it brings even more jealousy that a person can actually look better with age. It just doesn’t seem fair.
I am looking forward to Friday…for sure. It has been a great journey; at least from my perspective. I will celebrate another year of life. Another year of being an amazing example of what Christ looks like. Another year begins with my incredible wife.
Happy Birthday, dear Michelle. You are an amazing woman. You have been a wonderful wife and life-partner. You are an amazing example of a Christ-follower. You truly look better and better with each passing year. I am thankful that I get to spend it with you…
