I just started into Francis Chan's book, "Crazy Love" and I think I am in for a great ride. Out of the shoot he is suggesting that I stop talking at God and instead, just "take a long, hard look at Him before I speak another word." To marvel in His presence. Gosh, when is the last time I did that? We do get rather used to going to prayer, doing all the talking, then leaving the booth, as though prayer is to only get our message to Him. I encourage you to join me: maybe just a few minutes here and there in this coming week, let's just stop and listen, and see if HE has something to say to US!
Gosh, I've left blogging for nine months now...life was getting too crazy. It was time to re-balance. I plan to take you with me through this new read. Just here and there. Good to see you again. Now shhhhhhhh....listen!

Good point about just being quiet and listening! Our world is so crazy with the 24 hour news cycle and too much information coming at us. That is one of the reasons I love gardening. It affords me that quiet time to enjoy God's gifts of a sunny day, the explosion of color in the garden, hanging out with my dogs, and being more open to LISTEN for his word!
